Vancouver Fireworks is back again this summer

Once again, BC.s biggest outdoor event that is free to watch is back for its 25th year and this year is going to be huge.

The details for 2015 Vancouver Fireworks Celebration of Light was just announced and this year Canada is coming back to enter the competition.  In addition to fireworks there will be live performances, an Urban Adventure seawall challange, and 2 new areas for  prime viewing.

According to the Vancouver  Province Newspaper, this Celebration of Light is truly an international event, with over 85 fireworks shows over the last quarter-century, 17 different countries from every continent except Antarctica competing.

Spain has won more competitions than any other nation, with  6 titles followed by Canada with 4.  This celebration is the longest-running offshore fireworks competition in the world, which attracts approximately 400,000 spectators along English Bay each evening of the event.

This year also marks the return of the free SHOREFEST concert series, the Keg Lounge and the YVR Obervation Deck and new this year will be a licensed, ticketed lounge at English Bay Inukshuk and a family friendly, licensed bistro in the Sunset Beach Park that wll not require tickets for admission.
